Quest standalone!

Good news for this week: I actually managed to get the quest standalone version to work! I was worried about this task due to bad experience from Tomboy Adventure - weeks spent on getting it to work only to realize the performance is just not there.

Aki Bonbon is a lot lighter on the hardware so it went well. I am still working out how to get the quest virtual keyboard to register in-game but other than that it works great.

I also tried to change the setting a bit, going for a more ambient and calming feel. Less music, more rain. Which works great since I could never figure out what type of music the game should have.

And the new logo looks great too!

It would have been the best update yet if I had sorted out voice acting, but no luck.

I also tried to improve the way eyes are designed. It was a mess so I wanted to simplify it. In the end, I broke the old way it worked without getting the new system to work. Two steps forward one step back, as usual.

Feels like a have spent a lot of time lately just making the game more polished and smoothing out the rough edges. Which is mandatory but makes me feel like I am not making any progress. To fix that, I will be adding a new scene next, though less sexy and more romantic. I will also work on the character editor, to fix the things I broke.
